Who We Are
Qwest Technical Services (Qwest-Tech) was established in May of 2009 and was founded by Shane Salter
Jr. and Lonnie Crawford. Qwest-Tech was created to provide services at an affordable price for society. We
have provided technical and retail services to several people, and all are pleased and satisfied with the
services we offer.
Our #1 Priority
At Qwest-Tech, our main goal is to provide a friendly and positive atmosphere. We want our customers to be
satisfied and pleased with the prompt and courteous service that we provide. If you have a problem with an
order or service, please let us know right away.
Meet The Owners
Lonnie Crawford
Hi my name is Lonnie Crawford. I have earned an IT Degree at JCC. After working
for a well known local IT Company, and seeing how business there was done, I
decided to open my own IT Company; I thought we could do a much better job of
client appreciation. I asked Shane Salter if he would like to be partners at our new
company. The reason I asked Shane to join me was because we both worked
together at the local IT Company. I knew Shane was very knowledgeable, helpful
and he cared how clients were treated. Shane thought of the name Qwest-Tech
and made our logo and Shane designed our website.
Our near term future goals for this company is to be recognized as the best company for client appreciation.
When we accomplish this goal, I know we will get a lot of business from our efforts. Our long term future
plans are to be the Jiffy Lube of computer repair. Come watch us grow and see if we are meeting our goals.
Once a month we will put up a news letter telling about our successes and failures.
Shane Salter Jr.
Hello, I'm Shane. Ever since I was a kid, I have been interested in technology.
When I was 15 years old, my love for computers began. During high school, I took
computers apart and was fascinated with what was inside. Needless to say, I was
eager to learn more about them. In Spring of 2002, I enrolled in technical school to
became a Computer Technician. In August 2003, I moved to Buffalo, NY. I was
hired as a Technical Support Specialist at the Western New York Independent
Living Center (WNYILP) from November 2003 to January 2004. Between January
2004 and August 2004, I volunteered for the WNYILP's computer give away
program. My duties were to fix the computers and contact approved applicants to
give the computers to them. I was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award in June of 2004 because of my
dedication to this company. In August 2004, I was rehired as a Technical Support Assistant. In January
2006, I left the WNYILP and moved to my home town of Washington, DC to assist my family with my grand
father's health issues. While assisting my grand father, I decided to open up my own company, and sell
things online. In July 2006, I moved back to Buffalo, NY, and continued my business. In April 2007, I moved
to Jamestown, NY to be closer to my older sister, while still continuing to operate my company. In January
2009, I began working at a local computer repair office. This was the first place that I have fixed computers
for customers rather than co-workers. I felt really comfortable working at this place because I had a job with
2 of my favorite job priorities, satisfying customers and repairing computers. This is also where I met Lonnie.
In April 2009, shortly after I left, Lonnie called me and asked me if I was interested in going into business
with him. He explained that it was computer repair, and I gladly agreed to partner with him. I have also
worked at Target from April 2006 to June 2006 as a Sales Floor Representative, and I have worked at The
Connection in Jamestown, NY as a Customer Service Representative from June 2007 to September 2007
and February 2008 to June 2008.
In the future, we look forward to being the best of the best in computer repair. We can't stress enough how
much we want our customers to be happy after we have worked for them. So if your computer is acting up,
